Our small family of four has had the privilege of hosting Thanksgiving in our home in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut for the past eighteen years. With extended family and friends our gathering has been as small as twelve, and as large as twenty-two.  Our philosophy has always been the more the merrier. 

 

Looking back, we now realize that with each year we have raised the bar. We have perfected the menu, elevated the table setting and approached the planning and cleaning more efficiently. Most importantly, our joy and enthusiasm for the holiday has grown with each passing year.

 

The sudden death of our husband/ father Peter, in late August of 2020, combined with the restrictions of the pandemic, had the three of us bracing for an abbreviated and difficult holiday.  But then, one October evening, after a glass of wine (or three) we were struck with the idea to write this book.

 

Our intention is to celebrate the holiday by providing unique tools and tips to engage a community of Thanksgiving enthusiasts across the country - and maybe even across the globe. Join us in celebration and gratitude of the Thanksgiving holiday!
